When it's cold and rainy you'll be thankful someone owns an electric car......

My take on the commercial is that Chevrolets become notoriously unreliable as they age but at least you can still work on an ICE car and get it running unlike risking life and limb with a lethal 480 volt zap which is engineered in such a way so as to dissuade doing your own repairs and that you should rely exclusively on the dealership for help.

I think they hit a home run with last years "restore dad's Impala so he can remember good times with mom" commercial.  I think they tried again and, like most sequels, didn't quite get there.  I have a hard time seeing anyone still driving around in a Nomad that nice and she has to be at least 83 if they bought it new.  I can see the Blazer EV being the spiritual successor to the Nomad, sorta, but it all seems a bit heavy-handed compared to last year.  I didn't take away that ICE vehicles are unreliable in favor of EV's when I first saw it, more like EV is the future and ICE is the past, but I can't say for sure it's not there now that I've seen it a few times.

Love those nomads

It's always been on my bucket list. I had my 54 Vette traded to a girl I knew who had a 57 Nomad. Her dad nixed the deal. Said he wanted his daughter in a nice big safe car. I prefer the 55-6 for the smaller fins and would lean toward a 56 rather than settling for a 55 that was probably missing the eyebrows.

you sir.....are terrible

You did notice he didn't say you were wrong though.

Astute observation.

All my late model GM vehicles, especially the Chevrolets were crap even when new. Quality control was in the toilet. The dealers were no help, and even made it worse. Customer service was horrible. No wonder GM filed bankruptcy. My Pontiac's were better made, more reliable, and had less issues then the Chevys.
Past owned Shelby's:
1968 GT-350--Gold
1970 GT-500--#3129--Grabber Orange.
Current lifelong projects:
1969 Mustang Fastback/FOX chassis, 5 speed, 4 wheel discs, with a modern Can-Am 494 (Boss 429), Kaase heads, intake with a 1425 cfm 'B' Autolite Inline carb, ala Trans-Am style
1968/70 Olds 442 W-30
