And we have the original owners manual signed by Dean Gregson know as Tasca's performance manager, maybe a salesman at this time?  Dean is known to be involved in developing/building the engine combo that eventually became Fords 428 CJ.

Waldron "mild imposter" hi-flow muffler sounds great!

They also sell an "imposter" model which produces a louder exhaust note

Dean Gregson also raced a 1968 and 1969 Mustang in Trans Am. Both cars are red, number 28.
Great pics can be found on the outstanding Historic Trans Am website.

Thanks George! And thank you for the assistance along the way!

A few more details to work out, hood seal, decals, rims....etc...

These just arrived for the Avons.  I took a rubbing off a vintage goodyear polyglass that had the 3/4" letters and sent scanned image to tirestickers.com

Adam,

Yes this was a really fortunate experience to conduct this restoration with my father.  This is the second restoration we have done together.  The first was when I was 13 to 16 when I purchased my 1966 2+2 GT.  On the 66 we did the entire restoration together tear down to the unibody, sheet metal work, body paint, engine build, restore and assemble.  With dad hitting 80 in 2023 and me 56 I am glad my father decided to send the car out to a shop to handle the sheet metal, body and paint and assembly, as it would have never come together at this stage of our lives if we attempted to take all this on.  With me having the needed computer skills to research, track the project parts and costs and Dad and I restoring components this all came together.   The shop owner was great too as he was receptive to me doing the research needed and procure the parts to restore this Shelby as we did.  You are correct it was "priceless" to spend this time with my father and sharing our common interest.  On our first drive it was so great to sit shotgun and see Dad enjoy getting on it and going through the gears!
