I am always amused by the occasional 1968 Shelby that sells for a "stupid" price at auction. Inevitably the casual watchers come out and scream "prices on these things are going up"

I found this interesting bit of well researched documentation online.

I don't know why they have Eleanors and tributes in there.
Shelby owner since 1984
SAAC member since 1990
1970 GT350 4 speed(owned since 1985).
  MCA gold 2003(not anymore)
1969 Mach1 428SCJ 4 speed R-code (owned since 2013)

It would be really great if they did not include "tributes" which really skews the data (ie: a 1965 Shelby for $18,500?).

My fave is:
"There is one on ebay that the seller is ASKING $$$$$ for, mine must be worth that!" Or when the term Mecum and BJ comes up.... Or, "I can pay in cash" and the seller says, "It don't matter, the price is the same."

The whole Eleanor is irritating to me.  I side with the original 73 Stang.

The term that irritates me the most? "CASH MONEY". Redundant in that cash is money. Sorry, I don't want your CASH MONEY. I prefer a bank wire transfer. No cashier's checks, no certified checks, no Walmart money orders. Bank transfer. My bro is the CFO of a large credit union (has been CEO before also) and tells me use a bank transfer. Besides it's possible I wouldn't know a counterfeit bill but if cash is king then we do it at a bank and I deposit it and verify the cash is real.
Facebook is the most ridiculous place for cars in that it's free and people put stupid prices: the latest? a 68 T code 3 speed man turd of a fastback needing everything for 25K. But it is a FB  :o
