It's also at an Audi dealer in Tacoma Washington for a steep 115k. (saw it online with a search- the seller is a salesperson at the dealership)

I usually don't criticize asking prices, you can ask what you like for your car.

Considering the structural issues, that might be optimistic

Just another "hack" listing on bat-no real details/explanation(s)/feedback offered by the seller-imo.  This is a low level (but still cool) driver car-65k on it's best day and that includes fees-again, imo given what the seller has shared to date.  We'll see what the market says...

I made a comment that when they said "car was painted" they should have included metal work.. Doors are 1970. You can tell by the inner plus where they mounted the data tag and Shelby tag. This is one of those cars I'd ask for a LOT more close up pics in certain areas...We are close at our thoughts but I'm a little lower than you but the car will be over bid. The question is if BaT allowed a HIGH reserve on the car. People I know have passed on BaT because BaT wanted a really low reserve and I've seen junk bid higher than what a reserve should be on a car. That tells me while BaT is very successful their workers just don't know how to really "appraise" a car but can you blame them as the diversity of things they sell is astronomical .

Looks like someone found the ad from the last time it was listed for 59k and sold prior to paint. The paint looked decent before the respray- I would have left it unless I had to paint it. The ad also shows a block that came with the car (who knows maybe the original) but the BAT ad does not show an extra engine or block is included. If it was the original engine hopefully the new owner will get it.

59K-probably sold for a little less from GR in 2020-2021. Now 115K? I know inflation has been bad but... aqua Painted lower fender brackets to frame? Wrong bolts for the front Valance? No blackout on the front valance. Amateur work. Hey, there are a lot out there that are not perfect but at 115K this car should be able to score a trophy at a SAAC Meet. A friend thought the car looked better in the GR pics than the current pics so it had a repaint? Well there is definitely overspray in the current auction that isn't on the GR's pics like the rear leaf and exhaust collector. THe GR pics those front fender to frame brackets and bolts are not painted but are in the BaT listing. To me a LAZY job so crappy job. Maybe MAACO was running a sale...
Oh yeah the VALANCE bolts on the GR site appear correct "bumper style"but not painted but they used regular hex bolts after the respray comparing front shots.

And you wonder why dealers aka flippers have a bad reputation?

I dont think people that are asking questions get to determine if a car is "tainted" or if people will bid on it.

Seems kind of immature to me, if you don't answer my questions, I'm going to stomp my feet.

Well... look at the listing (if we can call it that) & comments and tell me if the seller has provided even the most basic/meaningful info.  And a re-paint doesn't fit into that category.  To call it "stomping" misses the mark.  I call it prospective bidders trying to determine what this car is or more likely, isn't, before they lay out the pesos.  Or, better yet, enthusiasts in the know who are trying to challenge a seller for the info. that matters and to date, has not been presented.  Let's keep our eye on the ball and less on the semantics.

AS of now it is pretty simple to explain the car what I have read and seen and what hasn't been said. Replacement engine but original engine is AWOL? Lots of metal replacement. Amateur resto work. A #3- #4 car. Go to Hagerty and do the math. That is my take on the car. Great color and a 4 speed. Even with the Worts to me it would be a decent car for someone but I would say don't buy it like it's a gold SAAC car. I suspect the reserve is much higher than what Hagerty valuation says the car is worth. BaT  and reserves don't go together.
