Everett raced his Ford-maro in the 6-cylinder/flathead gasser classes at local drag strips with some success

The guys over at the CRG Camaro forum have mentioned this very subject. Also, have added more such examples. I mentioned putting a 351 Windsor in a '69 Camaro. To my surprise, they were all for it. Really!
