1968 Shelby Console Cover Latch Assistance
« on: January 24, 2023, 09:22:29 PM »
I’m looking for sources for a console lid latch.
My console is missing the latch that attaches to base.
Looking for guidance on what is missing, and any leads on part sources.
Attached are 2 photos that show the lid with latch, and the base that is missing mating part.

Any assistance is appreciated.
Thank you
Fran

I find these style of latches common to dryer door latches.  Take a look at this one on auction, eBay No. 325383430057.  The pin looks very similar to the factory pin.  The anchoring feature might be different, sheet metal thread VS. machine thread.
