SOHC T at March Meet 2023
« on: March 05, 2023, 12:09:26 AM »
A friend is at the March Meet in Bakersfield and sent me this.

Anyone know the vehicle, or the story behind the shotgun engine in it?  Looks like it's been there a while.

Amazing that the wood deck hasn't been singed by the headers.

Hi Roy,
Thanks.  My question was really about if anyone knows the history of the particular supercharged engine and/or this truck. The engine has patina like it's been around for a while.

Thought perhaps there might be an old car magazine article (or photo) of it, that someone here knows about.

Best,
Van

Belongs to "General Jerry" Lee and is his original wheelstander from the 1960's. He still performs with the car on the West Coast, and did so at the March Meet. I believe the truck originally ran a Cammer in the 1960's. Several years ago it had an early hemi in it, then switched back to the Cammer.
