1968 Shelby Junction Block, Original Design
« on: March 08, 2023, 02:00:56 PM »
WTB:
Correct electrical junction block used on 1968 GT 500KR. (mounts on the inner fender)
I believe the original design used a Bakelite material. (Very fragile stuff)
(my original is split at one of the mounting holes)
I’m searching for a correct junction block for my restoration.
Any information is appreciated.
Thank you
Fran

Added a photo of my original (split)

This is a very good reproduction.  https://store.cobranda.com/shamjubl.html   Do not use the screws it comes with because they were not sloted.

I got mine from Dead nuts on couple of months ago, my original was long gone so nothing to compare the reproduction to but it appears to be good quality to me, is not bakelite of course.

I think that there is only one mfg. for the part . It is very faithful to original even having the correct engineering number cast in. Once mounted you can't tell from genuine. I am glad that it is available because they are almost impossible to find used undamaged . The part has been obsolete for like 50 years. Most likely there is one out there NOS but in over 40 years of collecting parts I have never seen one and I network with many.
