Interesting that the air cleaner base (that is, assuming its original to the car) doesn't have the small 1/8 nipple that's commonly believed to be correct for non-thermactor '67 GT350s.

I don't understand why more cars weren't like that . I have seen the the closed emission base used with a block off cap on the large nipple used too. There is typical and varieties of not so typical.
