Figured it out, stock cover machined flat and pipe elbows installed in pump ports.

So made to utilize a auxiliary waterpump most likely electric.

Although they usually run big cubic inch engines, perhaps a jet boat application? Jet boat engines use water pressure from the jet pump for cooling. IMHO
Great looking engine and intake.

.............,stock cover machined flat and pipe elbows installed in pump ports.

I don't think so.  To much depth to face and this profile appears not consistent with the production pieces, and the elbows appear to be as cast-in or welded-in and dressed as I don't see threading provisions?  But with the consistent coloration if not as cast (aluminum) but rather assembled then post dressing/grinding/epoxying and painting would have been required.    :-\

Looks like a bunch of mismatched intention parts more or less assembled solely for appearance sake.  And yeah, I vote for the likelihood of a boat intentioned presentation along with the up-turned shortie-headers (looking very much like FOX Mustang application originally) but still needs a lot of finishing along with the damper and bolts installed and others tightened.    :)
