Brazil was the king of fiberglass addons and kit cars. For years after VW was no longer selling the Bug the plant in Brazil was cranking out complete pans right down to the battery for dropping one of 100s of available bodies on.

He finished his last car design there, and it was quite attractive.
He left the US after his Chicago problems, and flew his Navy SS plane, the Tin Goose there.
