Where is the collection from?  Possibly the RK Collection?

Of course, there is a fine line between hoarding and collecting, depending on who is viewing the inventory. 8)

FYI, guys, the majority of the memorabilia offered in the Carroll Shelby 100 Year sale is my stuff. The parts are a friend's. We have some editing to do of the descriptions...some of which we did not write.

That would include the shocks, Mr. Disher  ;)

Anyone is welcome to reach out to me if they have any questions about items offered...happy to answer anything you need. Should be fun to watch the stuff get sold!

Kind regards,
Vern

Hi Vernon,

Are you getting out of the literature business?  Your literature website seams to be gone, at least I can not find.  I recognized some of the the Mecum pieces from your website.  I'm getting the impression the full scale stuff is taking all of your time.

Best wishes

Cory

Hey Cory!

I've gotten that question a lot lately and I appreciate you asking it so that more people can see the answer. I did take the memorabilia section of the website down but at some point I might put a more manageable section back up on the site. You hit the nail on the head in terms of the current sale. The sale of this stuff takes a quite a bit of time and the Shelby car business for a long time now has been taking up most all my time. That might not appear to be the case externally since I also haven't added a car to the website in 3 years  ;D (I should probably do a better job of updating the site) but anymore the website is really just an online business card whereas lots of cars have been coming and going lately.

Combine that with now having 3 kiddos at home (5.5yo, 3.5, and 5/12s  ;D) and I have just had to become more picky with how I utilize what time I have to work.  Because of that, of course, I am always buying great memorabilia because I suffer the same mental illness of being addicted to buying that most of us weirdos suffer from...but I the stuff has been piling up on my end because of not having time to sell. Hence, the Mecum sale!

I do want to continue to buy memorabilia and probably occasionally sell items...but I am sort of switching to becoming more of a collector. Memorabilia is what gave me my footing in the hobby and I still love the stuff as much or more than the day I bought my first piece of Shelby literature as a young buck....so I refuse to stop fooling with this ole junk!

Kind regards,
Vern
