Ugly car....The longer you look at it the uglier it gets, just like the latest Corvette, ugly....Borrowed tail lights or similar versions do not help it.

I Wouldn't be surprised if Granholm gets a pay raise with this news.

Is this why a bunch of promotion has surfaced about a new 2024 Chevelle ?
Thinking out loud.

Agree on the Camaro being horrific,  but I find the new mustang just as bad

Can you tell the difference between a new mustang and a mopar ?

The mopar is wearing the yellow pool float noodles

Imitation is not always the sincerest form of flattery - https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/shame-tactics-may-defeat-the-misuse-of-dodge-splitter-guards/

The original concept retro Camaro was a great looking car. Then GM went budget and decided to use an already developed Holden chassis which required a raising of the body rear fender and change to the roofline to clear the rear IRS struts. It threw off the whole look.

At least Dodge Challenger goes out with a bang: 1,000+ HP. Can't agree more, the current Camaro is Transformer disco ugly. The original retro car of 2010 was a good looking, and excellent performer.

I really like the 1st (and early 2nd) Gen Camaros.  Great styling inside and out.

The Gen 5 & 6 are hideous, IMO.  The army-tank gun-slit side windows and too-tall belt line makes them look like a chunky guy with overalls and wearing a smashed-down hat.

I realize that every car company does it, but Stop Copying!!  Not everything has to have an angry-insect face, trapezoidal body shape and other form-without-function styling.

Dodge has miraculously managed to keep selling the same retro body/interior/platform Challenger since 2008. Only the Beetle and Model T can beat that longevity.

While it would've been nice to have more-substantial styling updates along the way (and a reduction in weight) kudos to Mopar for keeping stuffing-in ever more power, and creating special packages, rather than killing the Challenger off or making it into something it shouldn't be.

In other words: Don't mess with success.

1967 through 1974 where the best years with the last performance L82 being installed in a Z 28

My favorite is the 69 and 70 ( new body ) Z 28s
After that it was all stripes and fancy spoilers

Great minds think alike. In 67 when the Z28 was introed I was working at the local Chevy dealer in a HS auto shop work experience program. The first one we got had the shifter messed up - UAW couldn't figure out Hurst. I got the task to fix it and when done the mechanic said take it out and test it - Game on. It was just about the time school was getting out so a couple burnouts seemed appropriate. When I took it back the tuneup guy stuck it on the dyno and he guesstimated almost 400 hp at the crank. But 69 is my favorite closely followed by the half bumper 69 1/2.

But this is hands down my favorite "69 Camaro"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bCzvuQ_Wck

98svt,
If I won the lottery;
a 70, maybe what you are calling a 1/2 bumper car, would be on my list to buy.
I think they went to the 350 solid lifter engine,
Add a 1961 Jag flat floor XKE. Even Enzo called it the most elegany design he had ever seen.
Respectfully,
John

Yessssss a 1969 rally sport Z28 with a cross ram (making it a over carburated little pig on the streets) with the JL8 rear disc brakes option

The 1970 has to be in citrus green ( color that I hated growing up but today I find attractive ) also with the rally sport option (split bumper) has to be early 70 to have the low headrest bucket seats.

And yes the1961 Jag XKE is a beautiful car.

But the early Lamborghini is certainly a work of art.

I think Ferrari may have been a bit biased, what the heck what does a tractor maker know anyways......
