If I catch Ed with a sweater tied around his neck I am going to lose it. ;D

that was good for a literal "lol" - thanks.

... and congrats to Ed on what looks and sounds like a great ride  8)

Beautiful cars! C2 Corvettes and Shelbys I never get tired of seeing them like everyone else that's why both stay hot on the market.

I really really like C2 Corvettes but I love my 66 GT 350. Here's a picture of what has been holding up the restoration of 6S281. A custom Nassau blue 65 Corvette BB roadster which is burning huge amounts of hours, fabrication and of course money.  I have had so many people try to get me to put the vette on the back burner and start the Shelby. Right or wrong I am determined to finish what I had started prior to buying the Shelby. I am hopeful 281 will get underway this summer. One good thing about waiting on the Shelby is it has allowed me to amass the most amazing collection of correct parts, I have lots and lots of cool and correct parts in old Ford blue boxes. Nice thing is the 65 Vette is really close, very exciting! Weird, I never ever imagined members would be posting pictures of Corvette's on the SAAC forum.
6S281, in my family from 1972-1983. Back home January 2017, will not leave again!

Wow, that looks like the '66 coupe I sold three years ago. Right down to the same redline tires.

Here's mine (427/425, 4-speed, 4.11s) going on the Reliable truck to the new owner.

Did yours come from SoCal?

Love Nassau Blue.

I don't own one but have driven my friend's 67 350HP 4 speed vert. Original paint car. Non factory side pipes. I offered my Mach and cash for it and my friend wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it now.

  Me too.  I've owned a 72 V-8 CJ5 Jeep (first year for the AMC 304 in a Jeep CJ5), a 68 Cuda 340 4 speed, and I worked at Chrysler's Chicago pre-delivery center from 1970 to'75.  Got a serious soft spot for Mopars.

A "barn find"  1969 Corvette. 427, 390 horsepower 4 speed with factory A/C and a hard top
Had to repair the nose of the car 85% original paint
Found all parts with it with the exception of the water pump, clutch fan, exhaust manifolds and carburetor
Here's a picture of it loaded up after digging it out a garage 5 years ago and just a few days ago
Paid $2,000 for it
Special Ed has a great car and it appears so do many others, love them all
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎
