That is the wildest paint scheme on a Cobra I ever saw. I like it!
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Side-Oilers

Would be intimidating to see that appear in your rearview mirror!
Current:
2006 FGT, Tungsten. Whipple, HRE 20s, Ohlin coil-overs. Top Speed Certified 210.7 mph.

Kirkham Cobra 427.  482-inch aluminum side-oiler. Tremec 5-spd.

Previous:
1968 GT500KR #2575 (1982-2022)
1970 Ranchero GT 429
1969 LTD Country Squire 429

It certainly would grab your attention.

CSX2201

Previously owned by Bob Parker from the Portland, OR area since 1971.  He was a very nice guy.  True Cobra/Shelby enthusiast.  He drove that car everywhere rain or shine.  He restored the car a couple of times.  Bob and the car are icons to the SAAC NW club.

Dr. Gil Weed raced the car in the snakeskin livery in 1965-1966.

From Fred Gehring:

"He dove that Cobra in all kinds of weather if he thought enough of the event.  Parker's and Gehring's Shelby's pre-staging for the Veteran's tour / parade down Veterans Memorial Highway Interstate I-205. Started at Clark County Fairgrounds and ended at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas County.  Go ahead and post them on The SAAC Forum if you want.  Thank, Fred G."  - in 2004.

I take it the snakeskin is gone on the car.  I'd put it back on myself.

Snakeskin was on in 1965-1966, then red, blue and now bare aluminum with snakeskin wrap since 2021.

Any pics with the snakeskin wrap?  That car is worthy of an oil painting rendition of it.

This an interesting story about the Cobra and owner.  It would make a good article for the "Shelby American". 8)

I agree.  Also a diecast of the car would be interesting...
