15 year old Brent Crews is on the pole in a Mustang.  About to go green.  He won some race yesterday as well.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

TA2 = spec racing. All have the same chassis and are limited to 525 hp with a supplied sealed engine. It is cheap costing about $120,000 for a new car. There is even a Mercedes body offered that is popular down under and in Europe.

TA2 rules even out the Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and Dodge Challengers – yes, it's true pony-car competition. Engines are V-8s, horsepower is 525, allowing engines to run a whole season without a rebuild. Cost containment is key – prices of components like wheels, shock absorbers and brakes are set by Trans Am. The bodies look stock but are actually aftermarket, as is the common rear wing.

TA = same chassis with NASCAR type engines with 800+ hp.

Would be nice if my son got into it but I don't believe his life is headed in that direction.

TA2 is an expensive stepping stone. No need unless you are trying to make it a career. Take your Boss to a track day event and burn up some tires. Even a Solo 1 event may wet (or is it whet?) his appetite to see if he'd like to go further.

I think that good advice.  I will direct him down that road.  He's still only 14 but I noticed he has an aptitude for racing.
