Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Watched the video, very well filmed, rehearsed and presented.

What makes a good clone or tribute Shelby ?

Simple answer

Let's start with one of the following mustang's and transpond all the Shelby equipment / features ;

CAR.                   END RESULT

Excellent car = fake Shelby
Quality car.    = fake Shelby
Hipo K car.     = fake Shelby
Tribute car.    = fake Shelby
Accurate car = fake Shelby
Clone car.      = fake Shelby

All of these cars share the same commonality after the conversion, they all are fake Shelby's with different degrees of excellence , quality and accuracy

No matter what you call them they are pretenders to the throne. In military parlance it's been referred to as stolen valor.

I am a Shelby fan, but it is not a passion. I have a Shelby tribute and have no problem with some referring to it with apparently denigrating remarks such as “Fake Shelby”. I was aware of the bias long before I decided to go down this path.

What I do have a problem with is someone attempting to place an old car, whose claim to distinction is it’s having been modified at a particular location, with the oath that every Veteran has taken, pledging their life in defense of this country.

Look up the meaning of the word “Valor”. In the words of Inigo Montoya, “I do not think that word means what you think it means.”
Shelby Buff.
I used to be a “Vintage Car” guy. Now I’m just a “Vintage” car guy.

Too much carefully crafted word "smithing" for me to watch.  Think it's pretty easy like the high in art and paintings you have "fakes" and you have "good fakes". but that wouldn't make a very long U Tube video

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

I wonder though, with the passage of enough time, will anyone worry about such distinctions?  Looking at an Egyptian artifact that replicates an original pharaoh's artifact both made in the same time frame two maybe three thousand years ago probably does not disturb scholars or collectors. But then again we live in the here and now. A vast swath of time would need to pass in order to get to that point.

There is no "bias" it's not a Shelby but badged as one to fool people. The stolen valor act criminalized wearing awards not earned (later amended for financial gain), that was the reference you missed.

Forgot these four :

Replica            = fake Shelby
Recreation.    = fake Shelby
Reproduction = fake Shelbys
Continuation  = fake Shelby

For example a 1966 Ford Shelby GT350, in my eyes it had to be made in 1966 with 1966 parts.

 Rolled out of Ford in 1966 and delivered to Shelby American for its conversion into a Shelby in 1966.

Then tilted as a 1966 in the year of 1966.

Not like one of my buddies that has  a cobra replica made in 2022 but titled as a 1966 Ford cobra.

And that's OK with me, but it is not a 1966 made in 1966.....capiche

Up to ELEVEN now !

11 ) Kit car = fake Shelby

Not to be confused with " the K.I.T.T. car " :

In the original Knight Rider series, the character of KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) was physically embodied as a modified 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. KITT was designed by customizer Michael Scheffe. The convertible and super-pursuit KITTs were designed and built by George Barris.

Thank you Michael
