OK.. what's the secret?
Any advice on getting the (hard) rubber pedal pad over all 4 edges of the pedals?

Hair dryer heat or dish soap (small amount) under the "flaps",  plastic pry tool... others will voice up

I have used a little bit of WD-40, or Lubri-plate white grease.

I used a flat head screw driver to pry but looking at the other responses, they have better approaches that reduce the risk of damage.  I just got lucky with my approach.
