You posed your question as a  suspicion  ;)  but I know you know otherwise. LOL

Thanks Bob, I suspected it was just an oversight on the part of the judges - like that's never happened before :-0, as it wasn't noted on the judging sheets, but didn't want to assume.

Nice 65 ! should bring a good price for the seller  :)

If you look closely at the pictures it does have black pinch weld overspray...albeit probably less than ive typically seen on unrestored 65s.

After looking closely at the oversprays what it is actually missing is the blue rocker stripe overspray...though few restorations generally replicate as much blue overspray as there typically actually was.

This particular car has been for sale on and off for the last year.

Kind regards,
Vern

Thanks Vern, so am I to conclude it has never had an offer the owner wanted to accept yet?

OK, the images I looked at (194, 203,205,207,208,209, 210 - didn't show it) others do - my fault for not looking at all the images, and why it's not deducted on the judging sheets.

Agreed its "there" but would have commented about the application for a couple of reasons. Of course would not make a difference (just this) in the award it received.

Overall everyone misses something and no one knows the car (its condition at the time) than the builder :)

There were something like 7 '65 GT350's to judge at Sonoma that convention.  This may have been the last one judged that day and most everyone had left the track by that time.  Also, consider judging on hot black asphalt... not ideal.  We earned our hats!   :) :)

Yes you did!!!  Always could be worst or better judges normally get little choice of the situation.

I wonder if this is one of them. As a 16 year old kid we would hit Tasca every now an then . Those were the days.
