Quoteripped jeans are in 'style' again!

We didn't know anything about style, ripped jeans were just a way of life. :)

Ripped jeans were a result of a life style, one who worked on, built, repaired things. Funny how things like a hands on can do attitude, from years gone by now is duplicated by some fashionistas who have never worked on anything except maybe their keyboards. :-[

me with 6S531  1970  Hertz White/Gold...someone had painted the gold stripes red, and lettered the GT350 in black.  No H  either.. look closely at the fender...a cobra medallion was attached to both sides, from a Cobra Kit? Also I am wearing my original Shelby American T-Shirt ..LOL!.... :o

It was a very innocent time. I bought this car at a dealer auction ( thru a friend's dad) for $1030.00. There were 6 Shelbys there that day...4 Black/Gold Hertz's, 1 really beat up 67 GT500, and mine. 531 was in the best shape of the 6. They all sold in about the 1K range...Wish I knew the serial #'s of those cars. Here is a pic of the engine in 531

^^^ That is very cool!

I believe Molland is the last surviving member of Badfinger.

That band has a very tragic history.

Cool gal in a cool car.   I always loved Badfinger.   In fact, I played "Baby Blue" today in my car.

Really sad what happened to the band members, though.

You are correct. Joey is an acquaintance of mine, I've been a big Badfinger fan since I was a teenager. His wife knew I was a Shelby nut so she sent me that picture. Great band, tragic history. Joey's a great guy....

^^^ very, very cool!

I'm a bit of a music nut/collector and also a BIG Badfinger (and Todd Rundgren) fan.

Here are a couple of my albums.

Had Straight Up on 8 track and played it quite a lot in my '70 XR-7 that I had in high school and college.

Beautiful day for a car and plane show.  The nose turret on that B25 reminds me of my Dad in WW2.  He was a nose gunner in a B24 in the Pacific.

Always been a  Badfinger fan but knew nothing about their personal lives. Very sad reading about the tragic history.
