   Mike ,
I understand . That blue car was the last to be at the Long Beach shop and the red car was the first to go. Mickey told me he couldn't sell them because he didn't own them. The red car left at Ford's request. I don't know where the yellow car went. Danny ended up with ther blue car after Ford "forgot" about it. All three were "brass tag " asset cars. I now have the vin numbers.

+1 big Davey Allison fan. He was going to be a legend if not for the helicopter crash.

Notice the red car has no side scoop. There are other indicators not seen in the photos , like the unique , prototype rear valance.

^^^ Great photo^^^   That's a large diameter exhaust pipe for what was (probably) a 289.  I assume there was matching pipe on the passenger side.

Must have made a wonderful neighbor-waking blaaaaaattttt when he left for work each morning.

R models ran 3 inch side exhaust also. Basically the same engine. Just saying.

Yes, I understand, Bob.  I'm talking about the house-rattling sounds emanating at 6AM when the guy went to work.

Probably not a lot of R-Models in the ol' neighborhood in those days.  ;D ;D

And those tires look pretty slick for an icy day.

Yes, someone's dad was super cool.  Good times!

Looks like the car Bob Johnson had as a daily driver except for the lack of a GT rear valance I think it had.
