That's the beast!   Talk about stuffing 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bucket, then making it look soooo good.  Oh and plenty of HP too.  8)

I love that pix.  Such a throwback to a better time. The Tucker makes it really cool.

Notice that three of the four kids (including the girl) appear to have fresh scabs on their knees.

Every kid in my neighborhood, when I was around that age, had skinned knees. Usually recurring on a daily basis.  Our parents would just spray some Bactine or Unguentine on them and off we'd go to play some more.  No big deal.  No lawsuits.
Current:
2006 FGT. Tungsten. Whipple, HRE 20s, Ohlin coil-overs, 3.90 gears. 210.7 mph.

Kirkham Cobra. 482-inch aluminum side-oiler. Tremec 5-spd.

Formerly:
1968 GT500KR #2575 (1982-2022)
1970 Ranchero GT 429
1969 LTD Country Squire 429
1963 T-Bird Sport Roadster
1957 T-Bird E-model 3-spd stick

I wish writers would look past their pens and look at the pictures a little closer. The interior shots reveal the FACT that the cars were '68s with prototype sheet metal hung on them by H&M. These were NOT  "built" for Baby Grand and delivered to M/T . They WERE built by H&M for M/T to race at Bonneville "specifically". The "actual" vins were '68 vins. The blue car was NOT the first Boss 429 built NOR the first Mach one built because they were '68s. KK had NOTHING to do with them. New discoveries of old information indicate the ''Yellow car" went on tour in '69 at the Ford display and after that sent to H&M for "recycling" and became a Baby Grand car like the Red M/T car was. Some recently discovered photos seem to indicate that.

In the late fifties a bunch of us would go up the creek valley behind our house, cook hot dogs on a fire, swim in the swimming hole,

we were responsible and safe, looked out for each other, I'm sure there were weirdos, and things happened, but not like today !

as long as we were home before the street lights came on all was cool, different times for sure !
