A French guy  ,  Ima  Dumas. Low performance driver in a high performance car. Could have been FAR worse than broken fiberglass.
Celebrating 46 years of drag racing 6S477 and no end in sight.

Side-Oilers

Did it happen recently?  I do now see what look like masks on the forklift driver.

And yes the truck looks newer than '12.  The older cars in the lot threw me off.

As CS said to me (paraphrased) "If a new owner of a Cobra made it the first 48 hours without crashing, he'd probably be okay. Except for the dumbsh*ts."
Current:
2006 FGT, Tungsten. Whipple, HRE 20s, Ohlin coil-overs, 3.90 gears. Certified 210.7 mph.

Kirkham Cobra. 482-inch aluminum side-oiler. Tremec 5-spd.

Formerly:
1968 GT500KR #2575 (1982-2022)
1970 Ranchero GT 429
1969 LTD Country Squire 429
1963 T-Bird Sport Roadster
1957 T-Bird E-model

I'm noting the skip marks along the curb and parking lot and broken axle/wheel.  Did it fall off the forklift or clip the curb hard and flip?
Pirating!  Corporate take-over without the paperwork

Don Johnston

Not sure if the skid marks are from the Cobra being driven, the forklift that might have been transporting it with one in it or marks left by another incident.  Note that that drive way exits to a one way part of the divided street (in direction that the guy is facing).

Also, the body does not look to be cracked, so is it fiberglass?  8)

great photo find, Silver Bullitt!

the #86 and #98 images seem to be from the SCCA Divisional race in Feb 1964, which would make them CSX2173 driven by Fito Hafner and CSX2136 driven by Ed Leslie

any chance the other photo is from a different race? say, the Riverside Grand Prix in Oct 1963? that race featured both the Executor CSX2128 (#96) driven by Allen Grant and CSX2136 (#98 with pinstriped grille opening) driven by Lew Spencer

Hi SunDude! Let me ask the owner of the photos about a Riverside possibility and let you know! That photo of those two did have a different patina than others.
