I hope this photo does not offend anyone,  but here is a flock of General Lee's back in the day when they where filming the Dukes of Hazzards

Less than 10% of the total number they totaled. Guesstimates are 250 to over 300 cars used up for the TV series.
Later in the show's run, when it got too hard and/or expensive to continue procuring more Chargers, the producers started using more "jump footage" from previous episodes. In the final season, radio-controlled miniatures were occasionally used, to the chagrin of several cast members.
