I had Mohawk snow tires for my KR convertible.

Think the summer tires are still on in this picture.

Conceptualized by the King of the Kustom Cars, George Barris, maker of The Batmobile and The Munstermobile, and Dick Dean, the vehicle resembles a Vox Phantom guitar in silhouette. It has a Vox Super Continental organ mounted in the rear. It cost $30,000 to build in 1968 and is well-stocked with vintage Vox Beatle equipment.

The hidden speakers and special chrome steps allow for three guitarists and an organist to play from the car– and it's equipped with a Muntz 8-track player.

The Voxmobile is powered by an original 289 Cobra engine (used in early AC Cobras) and is reportedly able to reach 175MPH.

I wonder if that corvette were to found today, it probably is being represented as a: "one-owner", "all-original", "numbers-matching", "low-mileage", "never abused",  "Bloomington Gold Certified" example that has never suffered from the ravages of time and abuse as so many others did!   ???

But, it's a damn cool picture of a different time period in American car culture!   8)
