From the Petersen archives, a GT40 based land speed racer at the Bonneville Salt Flats.  Anyone know the story of this car?

Burke Brothers...Bill Burke was an ad sales guy (possibly publisher) of Rod & Custom in those days. He held some Bonneville records...I think driving a Studebaker powered car.

Back when we used to hang around the local gas station where the older cool muscle car guys worked.  Sure don't see that, these days!

More like: The wokes in cities form love-circles around Tesla charging stations and burn carbon-free incense to appease the global warming demons.  Then, go across the street to the gasoline stations and set them on fire in protest.

I have some great footage of me uncovering that car and winching it up onto my rollback . its a long story how it was parked after being wrecked. I had made that dolly to help drag out of its hole. That picture is from when it was sold to the new owner.

Yes car was not that bad . The owner was bad as he took the entire car apart and then let it sit for 35 plus years.
Good thing was all the parts were kept in the garage .
