Wow!  Those pictures are awesome!  Thank you for sharing.

They had quite a few nice sets of wheels and tires.

Found a few that I had not seen before. I'm sure they were covered before, but thought I'd post them-

Wow!  Those pictures are awesome!  Thank you for sharing.  Do you know the number of the 66?

Minor detail (not really that important), Oregon's first year of the yellow with blue letters license plate was 1975.  74 would have blue with yellow letters.  The green year sticker would have been 1978 or 1982.  With a two year registration that puts the photos in 1976-1978 or 1980-1982.  Not trying to pick, just trying to help.  Awesome pictures!!  Again, thank you!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the comments, wonder where 5S140 is today?

I thought the Oregon yellow w/ blue letter plates started in 1973? Gary Werner told me he had taken these photos in 1974, this other photo seems to verify that...

Dave,

Well your photo pretty much puts it spot on, it is hard to argue with that.  :) Great picture!   When I bought plates for my 66 Mustang last summer, I talked to these guys. http://www.oregonplates.com/  They have the history of Oregon plates on their website.  http://www.oregonplates.com/history.htm  That is where I found my information.  Actual month the change over occurred could have been before '75.  At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, but just interesting.

Yes, where is 5S140 today?

Do you know any information about the white w/blue stripes 1966 GT350 with yellow Oregon plates in one of your earlier pictures?

Thank you, Brian

Brian,

No, I was wondering about the white 66 myself but don't know any more about it. The license plate reads 'AHP 671' and the bottom frame says. 'Get It On'.

Interesting car, not even sure it is a GT350. I don't see a tach in the photo, it doesn't have a hood scoop, and the steering wheel appears to be a black standard Mustang wheel.

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .
