Hi Tony, while we all enjoy seeing these photos from the past, there's really no need to post them twice in two different threads. This random photo thread is already pages long and we know from the old forum it will get way up there. Not trying to rain on your added post count parade, just hoping to stop the duplication.

Nevermind what I said.
I don't want others to miss out incase you only posted some photos on that other thread.

Holy smokes!  That intake looks like the smoke stack on an oil freighter.
Nothing beats a classic!

Is that what they look like on an oil freighter?!?
;D

I noticed the white van is from the very late '70's, helping put a timeframe on when the pic was taken.
Lots of chrome, check out the hood latch plate and export braces. Wonder what kind of custom rims it had on those extra wide front tires?

Please keep posting them in this thread. Not even sure what the other thread is, but I check this one every day. I am sure the suggestion wasn't to stop posting period.

Love your finds. I am sure Richstang and everyone else does too.

Maybe a better suggestion is to delete the image link when quoting someone's post with a picture. Often, as in this thread, the same pic comes up multiple times. That adds more length to the thread than anyone's singular post.

Back in the Day........

2112,
Your suggestion could be helpful to save space, but then we would have to remember to post the reply # in case the photo is a few steps higher or on a previous page. Maybe it's better if I just retract my suggestion. I was not trying to stop Tony from posting, just the duplication of photos. I do appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to share these neat old photos. Sorry to stir up anything here.

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

The white Econoline van in photo with that body style was first produced as 1975 MY. Photo could be as early as Aug/Sep 1974. The light green van to the right was produced through the 1974 MY.

Strange to see the wavey looking mud flaps on the front fenders and not on the rear.

I am really surprised at the amount of period "drag strip" photos of the cars.  I feel like an outcast because I have and continue to drag race mine.
