It doesn't have any dash pad. You are seeing a shadow.

I see it now.  Looks like 63/64 Sun Visors.

Motion was the name of a Speed Shop on Long Island, NY. I want to say Baldwin but it's been a little bit of a while? I don't remember the CSX but looks like a 2100's. The first group of Shelby team cars have the same rear flares. I think those are CSX 2127, 28 and 29? Didn't Jim Cowles have CSX 2128?

If you look closely in the shadow under the front axle, it looks like a jack stand of some sort holding the Cobra up ;D

No tire smoke, No wrinkle walls of the tire, proving no forward MOTION ;D No exhaust smoke, No contorted facial features from a high rpm blast. Just a corny Homer at the wheel checking his gauges :-[

FL SAAC

could be fake news...maybe no motion...lol

Joel Rosen was THE guy at Baldwin -Motion Chevrolet on Long Island. He was known for his Camaro and Corvette engine conversions after '67. Yes he did race the 289 Cobra and it was converted to "solid axle" ( 9" Ford rear end from a "thunderbolt") according to period magazine articles. He was closely tied to CARS magazine and wrote many articles for and with them Marty Schorr was an integral part of the Motion operation. they were the east coat equivalent of Bill Thomas race cars out here in the west.
Doug no one as yet has the vin number of that car. With the 9" diff , it should stick out like  a pink elephant!
