Here is proof that drum brakes can stop a 200 mph race car.

Eventually.

Great pictures!

1109RWHP - these are some great pictures. This one particularly caught my eye. A Firestone sticker above the Goodyear tire and a brake dust coated daisy wheel - the same style as I have on my car (minus the brake dust).

Found this terrific photo over at the Revs Digital Library.

This is Japanese driver Seiichi Suzuki with one of the Bud Moore Cougars at Daytona in 1968 (he finished 4th).

Notice the Parnelli Jones decal and the Firestones.

That was the car Al Unser drove . Notice AL on the tire after Follmer was crossed out. Goodyears were faster back then but PJ so locked in with Firestone that was all he would run. Unser was tight with Goodyear so that's what he ran. (Per the late Don Araki rip)

4 kids, perched on the back of a Tucker, going thru an automatic car wash.  Oh the HUMANITY!  Think about doing that one today...

The NASCAR photo post #1594, man sitting on a tool box/cooler in a wagon, using something on the front headlight.  Any thoughts on what he's doing?  Making sure the Fuel Bleeder for the fuel stashed in the roll cage is clear?  He's not adjusting the headlight aiming.....

Pirating!  Corporate take-over without the paperwork

I think ? this is a '71 Boss 351 ?  interesting that it wears 10 spokes and rear window louvres , and a '66 GT 350 with a R model

front apron, are these European cars ? This might have been on forum 1.

Mike

I think those are Jeff Burgys cars in the 70s

Did you notice the U.S. Mags decal but the car has American Racing 200s wheels? They never ran any U.S. Mags as far as I know.
