Now I want to drop a Ford Cammer into a Ferrari F40 right after I win the lotto.

Cecil County [MD] Dragway, i think 1970(?) Kodak Instamatic quality. The snack shack looks the same today  ???
"Fast Eddie" looks like he was the "Boss"...

.   You might have "fit" issues, but I admire the sentiment.

Is that a Snoopy Fairlane?
Because the Snoopy 65-350 still lives in MASS.
Same people?

Definitely "Snoopy", and sure looks like a Fairlane (and we would have ridden to the track in a '63 Fairlane). Any other recollection of that day is pretty fuzzy.
That was likely my first ever trip to the drag races, I talked my Dad into taking me and some of my 7th grade buddies. Sorry for the bad pix.
I think (?) remember the Snoopy 350 from SAAC40 in the ballroom, but have no idea if there's a connection.  It is a pretty simple ride from MA to Cecil County... straight down I95

There appears to be no connection between the Snoopy.
I just reached out to Snoopy in MASS and it was new to them.

Thanks guys.
Isn't Snoopy also known as "joe Cool"?  8)
i guess no surprise he might show up on few cars.

This Comet (seen 2019 at same track) must be a little older?

Yeah, kinda strange to use wagons, but I've seen quite a few.

Thanks. The color shot is from 2019 even tho it looked like 1971 in the staging lanes for a while  :o, there was a vintage Stock/Super Stock group sharing the track on a day that I was there with a different club. Those cars were fantastic. The Thread says "random"... it didn't seem like a time-frame limit(?), so here are a few more.

Stock classes had to run an engine that was available for that make/model and station wagons back then could be had with big engines for towing, etc. plus they were readily available and I believe they had a better weight distribution for stock class drag racing.
