couldn't find a specific thread in the '66 section. Here's a photo I came across, identified as 6S260, the information with it said

"that the car originally came with 5 spokes, the motor was built December '65, no back up lights, and it was the 8th built with an automatic"

I've looked in my 2011 and updated 2019 registries, it only says that 1173 were autos) I dug further, and from the 2019 registry

this would be the 9th built, with one earlier unknown, the Reggie Jackson car.

also the 2019 books show no stripes originally for 6S260, I think it is also one of the first few that weren't carry overs.

I'm not calling anything into question, just looking for clarification, and to learn.

ps: I have no personal interest in this car, just come across things that lead me on a search for more information.

Some where there was a link for  the correction to page 23 in 2019 '66 registry ? ?

The corrected page 23 of the 2019 edition of the 1966 GT350 Registry was printed on the last page of the most recent "Shelby American" annual. I got a pdf of that and posted it here on the forum:

http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=9803.msg82129#msg82129

That pdf file was in the first post in that topic, but I don't see it when I go there now. So I'll attach it to the bottom of this post.

I will comment that any car after 6S252 (the last carryover) would have had backup lights from the factory. So if the car you have pictured really is 6S260 then the rear valance panel has been replaced. And if the engine was built in December of '65 I don't think it would be original to 6S260. I think the first of the full spec 1966 cars were produced at San Jose before that.

'69 Grande, I wonder if the little one has a Mustang today ?

That photo looks about mid 80's?  By looking at the model of the truck in the background.

Is that a for sale sign in the window?

Similar to a '66 Pontiac Bonneville, though not exact.   It looks like the guy made his own bezels... ::)
