It does appear that there is a lot of intermixing with them What is the reason?
Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

Whatever the reason is, it makes sense. I've got to think that many of us that own the classic Shelbys own the newer ones as well. It would be interesting to know how many people on this forum have old and new ones.....

It is similar to a family function where there are factions that get along and those that don't...or won't.

None - Team Shelby is an inhouse part of Shelby American. When CS could not take over SAAC (for the registries) he started his own club and registry. TS was run as a seperate club for a few years but then SA took over its management. They mainly do the Shelby Bash which SAAC had started as a winter convention. SAAC caters to 1970 and earlier cars. TS caters to the new ones - but of course either car - owners - fans are welcome in either.
Not like when the Cobra Owners Club of America was started and the only members were owners. Later when the GT350 came out they allowed those owners in too. In the late 60s they opened the club to fans too. Today the original 61 year old COCOA continues under Lynn Park's guidance and the sole remaining original chapter is in Orange County CA. There were a couple other clubs that failed.
