Last year found one nos in the crate / going to build as a 347 for my 68

Is anyone running one / anything i should watch for when using this block ?
Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

I couldn't find that one as a 8.2 or a C8FE. I used the '68 block with a main girdle.

In my search I did come up with a 351C XE block still in the cosmolene for $3500.

There is someone or something in control that creates these situations just to torture you. You need to make a choice. One or the other.

You need to be careful of these. Some were cast with the cylinder bores off center (thin on one side). They were rejected for Motorsport and became street engines in Australia. If it's the one that has not had the cylinders finished you should be good. The race blocks shipped at 3.990 so the customer could finish them to 4.000.

Agreed but this one was an original Ford Service Part still in the Ford box and came with a sonic testing chart.

I do remember they were $750 new when I was building my first C in or about 1976. I had two standard bore 4 bolt blocks so I used one of those.
