New BF Goodrich tires for the Hertz

Said tires should arrive today or tomorrow for installation.  205 60R 15 front and 215 60R 15 rear.  I get minor rubbing on the rear but has not affected the inner fender lips but only scraped a bit of the rubber in spots.  Nothing too dramatic.  Clears perfectly in the front.  Question is keep the lettering out or turn the tires in for a plain black wall look.  Either way, the junky Kumho tires have to go.  They are almost 10 years old now.  Too risky to drive on them and in fact I should have gotten rid of them five years ago.  But life gets in the way, right?

I've always liked the raised white letter look. That's the way we did it in the 60's and 70's. I vote lettering out.

Here's a pic of one of my wheels with my new BF Goodrich tires.  I'm very satisfied with the look.

That is a good look. I am leaning toward showing the lettering now. Thanks.

How about

One side out

One side in

Since you can't see both sides at the same time I think it's a win !

I always liked black walls. But yes in the late 60s to mid 70s it was RWL. We always ran letters out on the magazine cars to "pay" for the tires.

I am too neurotic to try that. I want consistency (which of course is the hobgoblin of small minds but so be it.)
