The music still holds up after decades
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Oh yeah RUSH!  I feel like I am back in high school again hearing this music.  I rode my ten speed bike along Glen Manor road one summer day and saw Geddy Lee washing his Bronze colored 911 Porsche Targa.  He stared at me, I stared at him speechless and he went about washing his car.  At that age I dared not approach but had a great story to tell friends when school let in.

I often hear this tune in my head when I'm out driving the Shelby. I never play the car radio because A) it only picks up AM stations, B) the 8 track player probably needs new drive belts before I pop in a tape and C) I really don't want to hear anything except the Boss breathing through those Weber's  ;D

Now that's a jamming tune.  Ticket getting.  Makes you want to jamb your right foot down hard.  Definitely a speeding tune!

Fixed/ changed my Predator link. Original seems to be malfunctioning.  Great tough music for patrolling the streets and highways in your chosen street terror.

Listened to Rush for sure cruising the Colonial Parkway in my '70 XR-7. I name my cars and the names always have a musical connection and that Cougar I had in high school was "Rocinante" from Don Quixote via Rush's "Cygnus X-1" song.

Here is one of my favorites I had on 8 track -

^^^ LOL! Yep, believe I have just about all the Rush stuff, on either vinyl or cd.

Could'a sworn we had a similar thread on the old forum and I posted this stuff...

This is one of my favorite clips of all-time - reminds me of high school so much that it almost hurts -

Hah! I had not seen that clip before! I am almost that bad. I love a lot of other music besides Rush, but I do have a couple of rules;

1) No talking. Rush is not background music. I need to concentrate. If you need to talk, fine, we'll turn it off.
2) I must listen to an album in the order in which it was intended. DO NOT PUSH SHUFFLE! I don't have to hear every song, but it must remain in the order it was on the album.........no exceptions.

Yes we did have a Rush Discussion on 1.0. I think we were also discussing how verisimilitude improves art. Particularly automotive art.   ;D

In my mind I always hear the sound that plays when the Wicked Witch rides her bike in the Wizard of Oz
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎
