Last time I was in southern California, driving north from San Diego Airport to Carlsbad, the midday the traffic was far worse than the first photo above.
All five lanes jam packed. Ugly stuff to deal with every day for the sunny west coast.

My last visit to friends in Florida was all smooth sailing, it was all west coast driving,
A previous visit down the east coast of Florida to Daytona for the 500 was a bit more crowded.

as a special request please do not mention cali when you mention fl and yes our flora, fauna and places areas are definitely pleasing

Thanks for the offer. That would be very nice. Unfortunately, I no longer work for that company. I was there 3-4 times a year for distributor meetings at Torrey Pines and other work related matters at HQ in Carlsbad. I never had much personal time and couldn't even get over to LEGOLAND to check it out. (All my trips to Florida were for fun.) When they closed my very small NJ division they offered me a position in Kowloon (the wrong side of the harbor across from Hong Kong) to run that office, as if I would even consider that. No thanks!
