Hello,

I live in The Netherlands in Europe and I will plan a holiday next year in August 2019 in the USA.

I will make a stop on Friday aug 30 2019 at the MCA Grand National in Fredericksburg, Virginia and Saturday at the 50th Anniversary BOSS Reunion in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. It is Labor Day Weekend.

My question: is it worth to visit the MCA Grand National on Friday? Is there a Show / Concours display on Friday? How many cars I can expect on the Friday?

thanks, Richard

Most all of the cars will be checked in on Friday, some judging will most likely be going on also.

Any idea when registration will open up?  Will there be an indoor area for concours/t-bred cars?

Registration is supposed to be open sometime after the first of the year.  I'll check with the classification folks to see how it's set up

the initial set up shows 333 Outside spaces and 167 indoor spaces. We just measured out the floor space last Friday and made sure that all exit aisles and columns were OK .
The space for inside displays will be 12' by 20' and outside it is planned to give about the width of 1 1/2 parking space per car.
It is being discussed about a requirement for all inside cars to have a drip pan.

Steve, what is the criteria for getting a car into an indoor space?  Is it first come first serve or does it have to be some special vehicle...

Steve: This is normally handled by plastic sheeting on the floor, usually a piece big enough to go under the front of the car.

Often a mix but mostly by certain class designation if you look at past practices

Usually priority given to Thoroughbred, Unrestored, Concours and Retired/Conservator class cars.  Concours Trailer usually given before driven class also, depending on space available.
