 “Flip Top”
“Turd”
Actually it should be known as the first 427 Cobra

Or "the" aluminum 390 Cobra

Dan,
Since CSX3001 was the 1st "production validation" 427 car  i.e. coil spring chassis,
would CSX2196 be considered  the 427 "concept development prototype" ??

just word games :)

The names people apply depend a whole lot on the time frame of the discussion and audience.

And now we resume our regularly scheduled program......car pictures.

CSX2551 and some other brand August 1, 2021.

Liking that side exiting exhaust.

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Black car, a necessity at one point in time driven by the custom tail pipes from factory mufflers back a former owner had installed circa 1968. He damaged one of the original tail pipes and had both replaced so they would match. The custom pipes followed a path that prevented a factory/dealer option rear stabilizer bar installation. When I found an original rear stabilizer bar and links the custom tail pipes had to go. The simple, and important at the time cheap, solution was just go side out from the original mufflers which are still in use today. I tell people that I am going out to listen to the stero (take a ride).

I hope they stayed on the country roads so the lack of any rear view mirrors would not have mattered much.

Plus the car outside on the other side of the windows looks like a 1967 Shelby Mustang of some flavor.

Not that it really matters I guess but the showroom picture of CSX3000 cars is in the "CSX2000 Series" section.

That's at Pletcher's Ford Town, Jenkintown PA, here's a  slightly clearer image, you can read the sign on the car, lot's of info on

this dealer on Coralsnake's web page.

I'm guessing the closest car is dark green and is CSX 3352. The white one is likely CSX 3331. And the silver one could be CSX 3351 or 3353. Not sure we'll ever know for certain.
