"SVO" or "SVO&PS" sheets are also known as the "add/delete" sheets coveted by '67 Shelby owners as additional Ford Factory paperwork for their cars. These SVO sheets note the DSO number and the specific options added to this group of cars. It lists the total number of units, a breakdown of each unit by paint color and code, and all the part numbers added or deleted for Ford's San Jose factory. As production of these base units continued through the model year many parts changed, some were added, and others were deleted. It was all done to help streamline the efforts of the finishing production line at Shelby American saving both time and costs.

A post on the "Shelby Forums" over ten years ago appears to have helped bring many of them out of hiding. Now I'm hoping to take it a step further and find even more of them or improved legible versions.  I'll start a list here shortly of known copies to help.

Specially, I'm trying to help Dave resolve some questions about DSO 2534, 2536, 2538, and 2540 which appear to have some Ford data issues. If you have a copy of these SVO sheets please let me know ASAP. I'll forward you my email if you would send me a copy.

Here's an example of the first page of an SVO sheet for DSO 89-2609. You can see many of the details I previously noted. This copy is one of the better ones I've seen. It's said these can be found under the rear seat cushion, or under the foot areas of the carpeting.

Thanks R.R.
I checked the concours website for related posts. None were posted. Jeff sent me a PM that he had the first page of the SVO sheet for DSO 84-2536. It will help, but we still need to find the other pages of it and other SVO sheets. Of course I'd love to find the SVO sheets for all the DSOs as well.

Everyone,
We're trying to resolve a Ford specific data conflict where some packages and trim codes were intermixed in a single DSO. That breaks a production line rule of one package and one trim per DSO. These Ford conflicts were found on three DSOs all built at San Jose at the same time, right after the New Year.

Brian Styles has a post in his Google Group that digs deeper into this topic for those interested.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/shelbyresearch/43mJlQH5qL0

The registry can only report the data as found in the Shelby American records. It is very clear this was NOT a registry error! It is a Ford data conflict!
Other possible answers may be found in Marti Reports from these same DSO's (cars from DSO 84-2534, 84-2536, 84-2538, and 84-2540)
If anyone might have Marti's from them please let me know.

Thanks for any help or leads.

I have a question for any ex/retired Ford employees.

On the above SVO sheet, it lists a "Decent. date" and a "Cent. date" in the header.
Does anyone know what those abbreviations stand for?

Here's yet another post by Brian where he's trying to sort out the document flow by dates.
I don't have an answer for him, but maybe someone here does.

The Google doc lists what the abbreviations stand for:
SVO Cent (Centralized Equipment Availability)   [date]
SVO Decent (Decentralized Equipment Availability) [date]
but that doesn't help me understand what that means!

Bill,
Thank You for sending those SVO sheets for the two different DSO's. (I got sidetracked from updating the list in reply #1).

I did see those full names for the two abbreviations, but like you I'm not really sure what they mean!
Maybe they are related to part shipments?
Can anyone help?

Mt educated guess would be location of the parts. Centralized could mean  "in stock" or already "in company". Decentralized "could " mean outside sourced or not in company ( warehouse) as in sub assembly supplier .

UPDATED list in reply #2;

More copies have been received (including some partial pages).
Thank You "SFM66H", Joe B, and "Road Reptile"!

These SVO documents range between 6 and 8 pages for each DSO. The later SVOs have more pages.
Some re-typed SVOs are circulating around. They were kindly re-created way back, where originals were too poor to be able to read.
Fortunately we are finding some originals in improved versions of them too.
There has been one altered cover page found. Thankfully we have the original version that proves it.

It appears these SVOs match the DSOs in number of units, package, trim, and paint quantity breakdown.
However they are more detailed with all the added and deleted parts (by Ford) listed by code and part numbers.

List updated (reply #2)

Today I received the SVO pages of DSO 89-2801. Only page 1 was missing (anyone have it to share?). Page 2-5 were included.
The cars on this DSO group were actually the '67 Shelby T/A Coupes. I'm told 5 cars were in this group.

I would be happy to just get the first page, or partial pages of a set, for any of the SVO/DSO groups not listed.
Thanks as always.

Not the document you are currently researching, but if you are interested in documents here is a copy of the invoice from Shelby to the dealer. It was in the glove box of the car when purchased new.

Richstang

Charlie D, thanks for the SA invoice copy. It is helpful on some other research I'm working on too.
