Question, is the bolt going into the back of the head for the engine ground strap painted or not?
Also, is there undercoating on the firewall screw for the other end of the ground strap and what finish is on that screw? Logic tells me that there wouldn't be undercoating if the strap was put on after the engine was in place unless the strap was put on the firewall and undercoated like all the other firewall pass through's. Any thoughts?

The bolt and the ground wire were added to the engine after it was painted. It was on the engine when it was installed in the chassis. The firewall sound deadener process was done before the engine was installed .The zinc dichromate screw was installed in the firewall after the engine was dropped in.There should also be a star washer added . The progression would be firewall, star washer ,ground wire eyelet ,screw.
