Do most 69/70 GT500 have N or non-N differential housing

Wondering if the 69/70's 500s typically had N or non-N carrier

Also curious about typical date codes. Mine currently has 8D24 dated, non-N nodular carrier in car built Feb 69.  Seems a bit early for car's build date (10 months ?).

Back in the early '80's used to swap in/out various 3rd members in the car   Wondering if I might have lost track of the original over the years.  Hoping I had the correct one the car as I was selling off all my extra parts 30 years ago.

Thoughts on whether an 8L13 date with N marking would be appropriate for GT 500 with Feb 26 build date

Would seem to be a bit early in my opinion.

You should look for other cars built near yours and check dates. A little harder to do, but you will get better information

I've got a 68 casting (8H21) here that has N on the caps but not on the outside of the housing. I'm told that all 9" carriers are nodular iron. They weren't marked as such until after a certain casting date.

I don't remember what this came out of? Kinda' in between for a Shelby of either 68 or 69.

If you want to see the picture, you have to stand on your head. Now the uploader is flipping the pics upside down. Ain't my fault. Argue with the machine responsible. I tried to fix it but don't speak  Russian! SOB's!
