The LA river bed has been in many a movie or documentaries, it was a place for the locals to race in during the 50s-60s. Much of it was filmed right near Griffith park and down town LA. Having grown up right near it I have spent some of my time in the river bed. Now it is heavily grown over with weeds,brush, rocks, and misc debris. Cal Trans and the Vacationing government workers cant keep up with regular cleanup... Sad really, it is filling up with junk as I write this, been raining for days.
