Great News,

When do we send in 66 updates?

Hi 6S2020,

In an email from the club, the note says the order of updating and publishing is:

1)   65 Shelby
2)   Leaf spring Cobra
3)   66 Shelby
4)   Coil Spring Cobra
5)   1967 Shelby
6)   1968 Shelby
7)   1968-70 Shelby
8 )   Ford GT40

This is exactly as typed in the email.  I expect No. 7 update is 1969-70 Shelbys.

On your 66 Shelby update, you have a little time to send in updates, but I wouldn't wait long and get any updates or photo's in very soon.

Best of luck

Cory

Thank you Cory

Who ordered first....
Shouldn’t the first few people get a mystery surprise with their order?

Hmmmm, like what?  I ordered mine 20 minutes after the eblast showed up Monday night. 8)

The 1997 registry allowed you to look up an owners name and it listed which car/cars that person owned with the current owner being in bold. That went away with the last round of registries.
For those that have the new registry, what do you like/dislike or is different in the 2019 version?

My 2011 registry had the same listing.

I am not a current SAAC member, have been in the past, Can one preorder the '67 & GT40 registries now, or do you have to wait till they are announced ? Is there a link ? I might have missed that  ::)

The most visible difference is the arrival of color in the photos.
Obviously it is updated and has 172 p. of description (115 p. in 2011 and 19p. in 1997 but in 97 writen much smaller)

Mike, in Canada

They’re now taking pre-orders on the Leaf Spring Cobras. The order of publication will be:

1965 Shelby
Leaf Spring Cobra
1966 Shelby
Coil Spring Cobra
1967 Shelby
1968 Shelby
1969-70 Shelby
Ford GT40

So it will be a little while before the ’67 edition will be available for pre-order. If you’re a SAAC member you should get an email when each issue is ready. If not then just keep you eyes open here on the forum I suppose. Or maybe watch the main SAAC site.

(Note: I returned and updated this post on March 3, 2019. This info now matches what SAAC just sent in a email to members.)
