Well, that's all I have. Anyone else have something to add?

A lot of good memories. The gas crisis is hard to relate to now, price may be considered high but no problem getting it. Some people have gone on to other things and cars have changed hands. If you don't know where they are, at least in my mind they are out there enjoying and being enjoyed.

John,

I know I'm repeating myself, but thank you again for posting all of these photos from way back when. It's really nice to see photos of these cars, some original, some with owners custom touches, as well as a few of the people who were there enjoying the meet.

Well Done Sir!

Hitched to the back of my Cadillac!  The gas cans were a sign of the times.

I'd forgotten this thread.  It was my second convention, the first being Hershey.  I posted a bunch of photos from this one on my website (http://www.s-techent.com/Shelby_Web_Pages//Galleries/SAAC_Conventions/SAAC4/SAAC4.htm).  These photos were shot with a Kodak Instamatic.

Cool pics, thanks! Wayne Curry (RIP) with 3201. A few years before I met him.

This was a great convention, I drove there in 006, about a hundred mile trip each way. It doesn't show up in any of these photos, but does appear in the convention article in the Marque, then the club newsletter. I could pick it out as it had Cragar S/S wheels on it at the time.

Beyond the attention to how well dressed many were for the evening program, has anyone noticed how FIT looking everyone is in these photos? Contrast that with the girth of many attendees at events today, and I am not referring to the usual pounds we oldsters have accumulated since then!
