Original 289 Starter Survivor
« on: February 18, 2018, 02:29:42 PM »
I have had this original starter for a long time,  I always thought it was too good to restore completely so I had my ace starter guy pull it down, check it out,  install new brushes and drive -  test and leave the exterior alone.  It has the original Ford Script,  original stamped metal cover which has been obsolete forever.  Ink stamp is 5DA  April 1965    engineering number on tyhe nose cone is proper C3OA. This is a starter for small flywheel   First $275  plus the ride  paypal friends and family preferred but  will also take mc/visa  or check   920 434 3645

This was the original starter on one of my 65 GT350s  maybe 25 years ago, Its also identical to the the starter we just removed from the original engine from 5S439  which the owner has owned since 1974 .  I also have two 65 1/2 cars here and they have same starter.     what engineering number are you looking for?
PM sent.
