     Back in the '70's I bought a battery from the JC Penny's Auto Center with the "Lifetime" guarantee. Even at the premium cost of $47.99, boy that sure didn't work out for them at all; so something like two decades and like four or five batteries latter, then Firestone who had purchased the JC Penny Auto Centers and in the same building were the relationship started, I informed them that they had also bought the "Lifetime" responsibility to me, finally two more batteries later Firestone said no more, ran me off.  I was like the '70's Midias Muffler ad with the old guy and his Model A Ford, saying "I'll be back", but I figured I had probably had gotten my monies worth out of them.
