One question that never seemed to get answered - is the non-black rivet aluminum or steel?

The very early cars used aluminum rivets but transitioned to black anodized later. Like most things that transitioned we don't have a hard line in time just a approximate .

FYI the black ones are aluminum too.

Yes ,that would be typical for that specific car.
