Personally, I find the whole "more Ford than Shelby" and "more Shelby than Ford" concept fascinating.

Maybe someone could create a infographic that spells this out in detail for me, year by year?

I'll throw this out there. The guy is oldcanuck on our forum. Since he has BLOCKED me from messaging him here on the SAAC forum(a while ago) maybe you can ask his to explain who "WE" are. you'll see it in his posts on the 68 Shelby for sale on BaT.  Gary

It's a stale arguement in my opinion. One could easily make the case the later cars are way cooler, than the cars built with old taxi cab motors.
I always thought my car was "way cooler" but that is my opinion brought forth by my tastes. I have had my Vert since 1985. What I paid for it I could have bought any year Shelby at that time. Money wise I should have bought a 65 Shelby or a BB Gt500 vert which didn't cost more than my car when bought(before the BB craze of 87) but I wasn't buying as an investment. I bought what I loved and still own it to this day while stable mates of Boss 302s, Boss429s , Gt500s and many 69 CJ/SCJ Mach1s had come and gone. I love all year Shelbys but bought my vert when I found it. If it would have been a BB vert I would have bought it. As a matter of fact my friend Kurt Frederickson beat me to his 69 GT500 vert by a few hours or that would be my car today. He still owns his car out in Vegas now. Gary
