These are a cougar 68 part number.  the ones that Ive seen on early cars were S7MS numbers and were basically cut off version of the C5ZZ  GT bezels.   what am I missing?

Both styles were used on early 67.

For Cougars, They were only on the 1968 XR-7G (Dan Gurney Special) models.  They didn't have them on any 1967 Cougar.
